MEET THE FOUNDER

Savannah Lewis, BSEE
Savannah Lewis is a Thomson, GA native who traveled to Lexington, Kentucky in 2017 to pursue a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky. Since then, she has used her curiosity in STEM to unlock several opportunities and great experiences. Throughout college, she was featured in several UK Public Relations articles, commercials and webpages for her efforts to increase awareness of minorities in STEM. She was an active member and e-board representative for the National Society of Black Engineers chapter at UK. Through connections made in this organization, she has had the opportunity of interning two summers with both Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA and Beam Suntory and Jim Beam Brands in Frankfort, KY. She is also listed as a published author for her undergrad scientific research in optical metasurfaces at Mizzou in Columbia, MO . Lewis graduated in December of 2022 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. Currently, she works as a Environmental & Sustainability Project Engineer with Suntory Global Spirits & Jim Beam Brands.
Her times growing up in the country backyards of Dearing, GA gave her a view of the night sky unlike no other. Since then, her passion to know what everything is and how everything works has led her to pursue a life of STEM. This includes to teach and influence its importance. She has always strived to mentor and tutor young students during her college career and is ready to bring this knowledge back to the youth of her hometown.
